At Borders Sensory Hub we welcome families through our door 5 days a week for a range of play sessions.
We provide opportunities for children to get messy, connect with nature, explore with their senses & let their imagination run free in our weekly sessions, with special events bringing even more fun to our calender!
Discover what makes Borders Sensory Hub so wonderous during our hour long Sensory Stay, Play & Explore sessions.
Using their sense of movement, balance, touch, sight, sound and smell, children can lead their own play in this very special environment, as they explore our colourful music & movement space and our enchanting Space Between, Into The Woods and Under The Sea rooms.
Our sessions are limited to 6 per session to ensure a comfortable and encouraging setting.
Splat! Splosh! Squish! Our messy play sessions offer children lots of opportunities to freely explore textures and colours in creative and fun ways.
Each session features four inviting messy stations, including a small world tray, with materials for children to interact with alongside a painting station for children to enjoy some colourful art.
A builder? A dinosaur? A chef? A princess? What will your child become during our imaginative role play sessions?
These imaginative sessions feature four role play zones, inspired by people, animals and places, for children to freely explore and interact with as they choose to.
By rotating our zones weekly, children are engaged week on week with new themes to explore and bring to life.
Run in the beautiful Gala Policies, our nature play workshops are split into 'Seedlings' for babies birth to crawling and 'Wildlings' for babies crawling to preschool and their younger and older siblings.
Families are encouraged to connect with nature as they are gently guided though story telling, sensory loose play, music and movement activities, process art and nature messy play.

The Montessori approach seeks to develop independence and life skills as well as fine and gross motor skills, hand eye coordination, rules of functioning within a society and later introducing numeracy, literacy and critical thinking.
Our Montessori Play Sessions provide five inspired activities and a heuristic basket for children to explore at their own pace whilst promoting the Cycle Of Work; setting up the activity, exploring it, applying focus and then tidying it away.
