We are delighted that you are interested in attending one of our very special sessions, but, whilst it's a little boring, it is really important that you have a look at our 'need to knows' before booking.
☼All bookings are strictly non-refundable. As a small not for profit organisation we rely on bookings to support our work and whilst we cannot provide refunds, we will happily offer to reschedule your session or allow you to have a friend take your place, if you give us a little notice.
In exceptional circumstances we may offer a credit voucher for the booking amount.
☼Session cancellations will be relayed by email and social media, so please be sure to check these prior to your session start time. Cancelled sessions will be rescheduled to a later date and a credit voucher will be offered should this date not be suitable.
☼ Please do NOT attend your session if you or your child are unwell. If you are ever unsure, get in touch, we are happy to assist!
☼Children MUST be supervised at all times by their caregiver. All advised safety procedures must be adhered to, with the safety and wellbeing of the child being the responsibility of the adult attending.
☼ Any hazards eg; broken equipment, spillages, glass, etc, must be reported to the on duty play worker immeditaley.
☼Photography is welcome during our sessions but please be mindful of other children featuring within your captures. Do NOT post any photos of other children online without consent.
☼Please be respectful of all other attending families by remaining courteous at all times. We will NOT tolerate any improper behaviour towards customers or staff.
☼Unless otherwise advised, please do NOT remove any of Borders Sensory Hub CIC's equipment from the session space.
☼ Any breach of these 'need to knows' (terms and conditions) may result in you being asked to leave the session, future bookings being cancelled or refused and legal action being taken where appropriate.
☼All personal belongings are the responsibility of the customer.
IN THE HUB
☼ Borders Sensory Hub does not have any onsite parking, as such, if you require any transport information or accessibility assistance, drop us a line.
☼Please do arrive more than 5 minutes prior to your session start time. Due to cleaning procedures we are not able to permit families into the hub until their session time. The sensory hub does not have a waiting space and so families are asked to wait outdoors leaving 2ms between other customers.
☼All shoes MUST be removed immediately on entering the sensory hub. Your play worker will support you with this and advise where to store them.
☼As a small facility we do not have any dedicated storage for prams/buggies so we would ask, where possible, to bring a car seat or carrier for young children. We will however assist with folding and storing your pram if required.
☼Food is NOT permitted in the sensory hub due to allergies, sensory sensitivities and hygiene. We are a Breastfeeding Friendly Scotland facility and so welcome breast or bottle feeding, water or medication within the hub. We will do our very best to offer support and comfort and where possible, a private space if required.
☼Adults must wear a face mask at all times during Sensory Stay & Play sessions and whilst moving around the sensory hub during indoor workshops - unless expempt.
☼Please sanatise your hands on arrival and ensure good hygiene is kept throughout your session.
☼ Please ensure both you and your child are dressed appropriately. Scottish weather is unpredictable and with our outdoor sessions, mess is guaranteed, so old, warm clothing is recommend with waterproofs and wellies for wetter days.
☼ Outdoor sessions may be cancelled at short notice due to adverse weather conditions. Any cancelled sessions will be rearranged to a later date with credit vouchers being offered where the rescheduled session is not suitable
As an inclusive play facility we understand that the needs of children are often as unique as they are, and so after we receive your booking, we will invite you to complete a booking survey. It is really important that you complete this short questionnaire as it will allow us to tailor your child's experience at the hub and assess the success of our social mission.
Should you have any questions or concerns regarding your visit to the sensory hub, please get in touch.
